About Fannin Volunteer Fire Department
Fannin Volunteer Fire Department was incorporated in 1984 as a non-profit organization dedicated to serving our community. We are an all-volunteer fire department located in Goliad County, Texas, providing fire protection across 107 square miles of southeastern Goliad County.
Fannin VFD is a proud member of the Texas State Firefighters and Fire Marshal’s Association and the Guadalupe Firefighters Association, and works alongside neighboring departments across Goliad County through mutual aid.
Fannin Community Center
The station also features a community room available to the citizens and faithful supporters of Fannin VFD. The room is approximately 1,200 square feet, seating 60 with tables or 90 auditorium-style, and includes a full kitchen and full bathrooms. It’s available to the community for events and gatherings.
Meetings & Trainings
● Monthly membership business meeting: 1st Tuesday of each month, 6:30 PM
● Monthly training: 3rd Tuesday of each month, 6:30 PM
Community Involvement
The Fannin 4-H Club meets at the Fannin VFD station on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 PM.
Dispatch
Fannin VFD is dispatched to fires by the Goliad County Sheriff’s Department.
Fire Investigation
Fires occurring within the Fannin VFD district may be investigated by a Fannin VFD Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) or a State Fire Marshal’s Office Fire Investigator.
Fire Prevention & Life Safety Education
Fannin VFD’s Fire Prevention Division regularly provides fire and life safety education programs to the community. To request a program, contact Fire Chief Drew Pilkington at Chief@FanninVFD.org.
